Orlo Walker, 87, of Berlin died May 7, 1997, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born March 1, 1910, in Berlin. Son of Franklin and Emma (Schrock) Walker. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, W. Jay, Ernest S. and Leland F. Walker; daughter, Nancy W. Hathaway, and grandson, David Erik Hathaway. Survived by his wife of 64 years, the former Bernice H. Sevits; daughter, Lois W. Esch, Berlin; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Retired after 38 years as a milk tester for Meadow Gold Dairy. World War II Navy veteran. Attended Berlin Brethren Church. Member of Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren, Berlin American Legion and VFW, and Berlin Volunteer Fire Department. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Bryan G. Karchner officiating.
