Walker died suddenly Wednesday, November 5, at Aberdeen, Md., where he was steward of the American Legion Home. He was born at Brown Field, Pa., July 10, 1892, and was aged 55 years, 3 months and 25 days at his death. He was a veteran of World War I, having served as corporal in Co. B, 38th Engineers. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Alice Reynolds and a half sister, Mrs. William Hornig, of Meyersdale. His body was brought here and prepared for burial by W. C. Price & Son. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Hornig home on Salisbury St., Rev. Floyd Gotjen officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by members of the American Legion. Interment in Union Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, November 6, 1947
