Born Feb. 18, 1909 in Jefferson Township. Son of Herman Edward and Emma Mae (Shaulis) Walker. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Mabel Pauline Rhoads who died Dec. l, 1989; brothers: Phillip, Willard, Frank, Earl, Clark, and Clyde Walker, sisters: Mary Fleegle and Marion Miller. Survived by son John Wilson Walker of Dillsburg, daughter, Nancy Jane Walker of Somerset; grandchildren, Toby, Tia, Trist and John Walker Jr.; sisters Mrs. Grace Enos and Mrs. Pearl Ream, both of Somerset. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Retired as a truck driver for the former Somerset State Hospital. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and life member of American Legion Post 181. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Robert J.
