  WALKER
  
  June Evelyn Walker, 83, of Meyersdale, died April 9, 2001, in Beverly
  Healthcare, Meyersdale.  She was born July 9, 1917, in Meyersdale, a
  daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Hoyman) Long.  She was
  preceded in death by her husband Harold E. Walker Sr., two brothers,
  Daniel and Woodrow "Ben," and sister, Verda Martz.  She is survived
  by these children: JoAnne Porterfield, Harold E. Jr. "Buddy" and his
  wife Georgia, David E. and his wife Lois, and Clara Ellen, wife of
  Roger Miller, all of Meyersdale; 14 grandchildren, 33
  great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; also two
  brothers, Charles of Bel Air, Md., and Paul of Florida.  Member of
  Meyersdale Church of the Brethren and a charter member of Meyersdale
  OES.  Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at
  Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale.  On Thursday she will lie in state
  at Meyersdale, Church of the Brethren from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the
  time of service, with Pastors Emory Schoff and Robert Stahl
  officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.  No viewing at the church. 
  Family suggests memorial contributions be made in her name to the
  Meyersdale Church of the Brethren.
