WALKER, LaRue

LaRue Walker, 88, Stonycreek Township, died Feb. 9, 2007, at Meadow View Nursing 
Center. Born Aug. 13, 1918, in Stonycreek Township, daughter of Albert and Mary 
(Stutzman) Kimmel. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Jay H.; six sisters 
and one brother. Survived by a daughter, Rebekah, married to Dennis Loughran, 
Vero Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, John Mills, married to the former Leslie 
Duppstadt, Berlin; and Julianne, married to Mark Gill, Blandon; and great-
grandchildren, John Mills Jr., Kayla Mills and Austin Gill. A 1937 graduate of 
Stonycreek Township High School. Member of Unity United Church of Christ, and 
Hillcrest Grange. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday 
at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. 
Monday at Unity United Church of Christ. The Rev. Jay E. Shaffer officiating. 
Interment Glade Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Unity U.C.C. 
Building Fund, P.O. Box 132, Shanksville, PA 15560.
