(Knepper) Saylor Walker, 80, West Catherine Street, Somerset, died Nov. 2, 1985, at the Somerset Community Hospital. Born Jan. 16, 1905, in Brothersvalley Township, daughter of the late Alvin R. and Mary Susan (Meyers) Knepper. Preceded in death by her first husband, Earl B. Saylor, in 1947; one daughter, Jane Bauermaster, and an infant son, Jerald; sister, Gladys Darr, and one brother, Meyers Knepper. Survived by her second husband of 31 years, Clyde E. Walker; four children: Glenn E. Saylor, Boswell RD 1; Alvin M. Saylor Sr., Atlanta, Ga.; James L. Saylor, Elizabeth, Pa.; Mrs. Robert (Fae) Foust, Somerset; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; five step-children: Robert E. Walker, Somerset RD 1; George E. Walker, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Alice Beeghley, and Kenneth L. Walker, both of Somerset; Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Lape, Rolling Springs, Pa., 19 step-grandchildren and 21 step great-grandchildren; one brother, Emerson L. Knepper, Berlin RD 1; and a sister, Mrs. J. Chester (Thelma) Long, Friedens RD 1. Member of the Somerset Church of the Brethren, where she was a choir member, and Women's Fellowship of the church, where she was a member of the weekly quilting group; member of Forbes Society of Farm Women. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday in the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Somerset Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Roger Forry officiating. Interment, Brotherton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be sent to the Somerset Church of the Brethren Building Fund. Viewing at the church after 12 p.m. Tuesday prior to the funeral service.
