She was born Sept. 21, 1921, in Middlecreek Township, daughter of the late Jesse G. and Ella (Henry) Moore. She was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Harry and Bill Geary, and a half-sister, Martha Gross. She is survived by her husband, Dayton R.; four children: Gerald of Friedens RD 2; Robert of Shanksville; Ronald of Central City RD 1; and Lee at home; also 7 grandchildren. She was a sister of Mrs. Ralph (Betty) Hay, Somerset RD 4 and Joseph C. Moore of Rockwood RD 2. A member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Shanksville. She belonged to the LCW of the Church, Fourth Society of Farm Women, Shanksville Firemen's Auxiliary and Wills Grange. Friends were received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted with the Rev. Marlin Miller officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. The Republic, July 30, 1981 [W0258]
