The cause of her death was peritonitis. Miss Walker was born May 4, 1904, in Middlecreek Township and came to Somerset when a child. She was a graduate of the Somerset High School and Juniata College and subsequently taught two terms in the Somerset schools. At the time of her death she was employed in the insurance agency of Charles J. Harrison, Jr. In addition to her parents she is survived by these brothers and sisters: Ruth, Helen, Mildred, Samuel and Marjorie. Funeral services were conducted at the bereaved home at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon by her pastor, Rev. T. Rodney Coffman, of the Church of the Brethren. A blood transfusion was recommended by Miss Walker's physician in an effort to save her life and her sister, Miss Helen Walker, volunteered to give of her healthy blood to save her stricken sister, but it was of no avail.
