WALKER Mrs. Minerva Jane Walker, 76, died Tuesday morning, March 31, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jacob E. Suder of Berlin R.D. 1, where she had resided for the past four years. She was a former resident of Arrtanna, and was a daughter of Benjamin G. and Sarah (Poorbaugh) Bittner. She was born near Garrett. Mrs. Walker was twice married. Her first husband, Edward McDowell Walker, died 46 years ago and her second husband, Bernard I. Walker, died in 1918. Surviving are two children, Mrs. Suder, mentioned above, and Dr. Robert B. Walker, Brunswick, N.J. She also leaves a brother, Charles Bittner, Syracuse, New York, and four grandchildren. A son, Dr. Homer B. Walker, of Cumberland, Md., died in 1933. Mrs. Walker was a member of the Flohrs Lutheran Church at Cashtown. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 Thursday afternoon in the Fritz Lutheran Church, Garrett, R.D. Interment in the church cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Son, Berlin morticians. Meyersdale Republican, April 2, 1942
