Walker, 80, of Central City RD 1, died Aug. 17, 1975 in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Feb. 16, 1895 in Stonycreek Township, a son of Frank and Della Cook Walker. Preceded in death by parents, first wife, the former Fern Onstead, three brothers and one sister. Survived by his widow, the former Alma Schroyer and the following children: Mrs. Lewis (Shirley) Duppstadt of Central City RD 1; Ray of Shippenville; Virgil of Somerset; Miss Faye of Pittsburgh; Elvin of Bristow, Ind.; and Sylvan of Strattanville; nine grandchildren and one greatgrandson. He was a brother of Bruce of Johnstown; Richard of Friedens RD 2; and Clarence; Mrs. Earl (Mary) Meyers and Mrs. Merle (Gladys) Onstead, all of Central City RD 1. Member of St. Mark Lutheran Church of Shanksville. Retired from PennDOT and Baltzer Builder's Supply of Shanksville. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and until noon Thursday at the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Remains will be removed to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville, to lie in state from 1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Herbert G. Hohman officiating. Interment, Glade Cemetery.
