Walker, 75, Somerset RD 2, died Aug. 11, 1986, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Feb. 7, 1911, in Somerset Twp., a son of the late Peter H. and Sadie (Foust) Walker. Preceded in death by his first wife, Marian Hoffman-Walker; two grandchildren; also brothers, Burdette, Harold, and Robert; and sister, Mrs. Elna Frease. Survived by his wife, the former Mildred Grace Miller, and these children, Mrs. Robert E. (Dorothy) Bennett, Hazel Kinsinger, Mrs. David E. (Ruth) Nicholson, all of Somerset; Roy Jr., York; Charles E., James E., and Miss Joan Miller, all of Somerset RD 2; Clarence Hoffman, Somerset RD 6; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. James (Gertrude) Lafferty, Mrs. Annabelle Custer, and James P. Walker, all of Somerset; and Fred Walker, Somerset RD 2. Self-employed farmer, he was a Somerset Twp. supervisor for 20 years. Member of Trinity-Lutheran Church, F.O.E., Aerie #1801, and the Pa. Farmers Association. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. George E. Bowersox Jr. officiating. Interment, Sipesville Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service. Daily American, August 12, 1986 [W0306]
