Born Feb. 17, 1920. in Meyersdale, she is the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Martin) Becker. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Daniel J. Walker in 1995; grandson, James Michael Buie; brothers, Earl and Alvin; and sisters, Myrtle and Gaza. She is survived by her children, Linda Dexter and husband Lawrence, Crawford, Neb.; Daniel J. Walker Jr. and wife Barbara (Smith), Leesburg, Va.; Galen M. Walker and wife Gayla of Plant City, Fla.; Rodney M. Walker and wife Sherri (Jones), Pittsburgh; and Jeffrey G. Walker and wife Virginia (Lehman), Friedens; grandchildren, Wendy Anderson; Barbara Alene Barr; Melissa and Michele Jano; Matthew Coddington; and Ben, Jacob, Jeremy, Amanda, Ryan, Andrew and Ethan Walker; great-grandchildren Max, Katie, Roc, Alex, Molly, Kara, Ethan, Seth, Sophie, Rose, Joseph, Mariah, Allysia, Anna, Sara, Daniel, Zeke, Caleb, Samuel, Austin, Mallory, Jared and Rylee. She is the sister of Eugen E. W. Becker, Hagerstown, Md. She was a member of the Somerset Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday school, the Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Post 181 Auxiliary in Somerset and the Meyersdale Elks Auxiliary. She was a Cub Scout den mother and a 1937 graduate of Meyersdale High School. She loved to dance with her husband with whom she traveled the region to dance to the big bands of the 30s, 40s and 50s. She also traveled to the Holy Land and many areas of the United States. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Mark Bendes, officiating.
