Walker, 100, of Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Somerset, died May 30, 2000, at Winter Haven Hospital, Winter Haven. Born Sept. 12, 1899, in Somerset, daughter of Robert Homer and Mary Elizabeth (Berkey) Speicher. Preceded in death by parents, husband Gillian Berkley Walker, who died in 1929, brother Ernest Speicher and two infant brothers. Survived by children Robert G. Walker, married to the former Rowena "Ronnie" Johnson, of Somerset; Mrs. Phyllis Ruble of Winter Haven; and Donald E. Walker, married to the former Mildred Hallman, of Rocky River, Ohio. Also four grandchildren: Mrs. Charles (Susan) Cober of Bernville, Mrs. Michael (Nancy) Morrison of Dexter, N.Y., Garth Walker of Clear Lake, Texas, and Eric Walker of Fairview Park, Ohio; and six great-grandchildren: Eric and David Cober, Jeanne Morrison, Kayleigh Walker and Jessica and April Walker. Sister of Irene Isbell of Somerset and DeVaughn Speicher of Grants Pass, Ore. Member of First Christian Church. Graduated as a teacher from Juniata College. Past secretary and president of Somerset County Artists Association and was a bookkeeper for the former Rockwood Floral Co. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Daniel F. Nicksich officiating.
