Born April 17, 1924 in Milford Township, son of the late Roy and Leora (Barron) Walker. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife of 55 years, Emeline (Pile) Walker; children, John, married to Marsha Walker of Barton, N.Y., Judy, married to Terry Sanner, Sandra, married to John Buratty, and Connie, married to Roger King, all of Rockwood. Also survived by grandchildren, Scott and Andrea Walker, Jodie Bender, Bill and Paul Ehrlich, Jamie, Jeffrey and Jessica Walker, Corlene Hay, Kelly Carr, Jason Sanner, Aimee Johnson, Angela Wiley, Michael Buratty, Tracy Bingham and Bradley King; and great-grandchildren, Charly Lynn, Bender, Andrew Ehrlich, Caitlin Hay, Arianna Stull, Amber and Alex Carr and Whitney Bingham. Veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II. Member of the Middlecreek Church of the Brethren where he served as Deacon. He was a retired construction worker for Union Local #66 of the operating Engineers with 32 years of service. He also was the former owner of Walker's Greenhouse in Rockwood and operated a maple sugar camp for many years. Member of the Rockwood V.F.W. Post #279. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Ron Beachley officiating. Interment, Middlecreek Church Cemetery.
