Walker, 76, Friedens RD 2, died Aug. 18, 1974 at his residence. He was born March 20, 1898 in Stonycreek Twp., the son of Franklin L. and Della Cook Walker and is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister, and one infant granddaughter. Walker is survived by his widow the former Ethel Clites and these children: Dale, married to the former Eileen Shaulis, Somerset RD 2, DeVon, married to the former Jeanne Lamberson, Friedens RD 1, Duane, married to the former Janet Hummel, Somerset RD 2, Mrs. James Celestea Tataleba, Berlin RD 3, 11 grandchildren and two great granddaughters. He was a brother of Bruce of Johnstown, Richard in Friedens RD 2 and Percy, Clarence, Mrs. Earl (Mary) Meyers, Mrs. Merle (Gladys) Onstead, all of Central City RD 1. He was a retired farmer, coalminer and sawmiller and would have celebrated his 50 Wedding anniversary on April 12, 1975. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Shanksville. Family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Remains will be removed to St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Shanksville to lie in state from 10 a.m. Thursday until services until 11 a.m. with the Rev. Charles E. Staub officiating.
