  Frank J. "Dan" Wallet, 72, Boswell RD 1, DOA Jan. 15, 1996, at
  Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born Sept. 18, 1923, in Boswell,
  son of Andrew and Anita (Russian) Walat [sic].  Preceded in death by
  parents; sisters: Sylvia Griffin, Kathryn Serocki, Josephine
  DeMantini, Marie Seifert and Louise Vescosky, and brothers: Joseph
  and Martin.  Survived by wife, the former Dorothy Burkholder;
  daughter, Dawn, wife of Kenneth Bush, Boswell, and granddaughter,
  Desiree.  Brother of Mrs. Frances Lewis and Mrs. Isabelle Gonger,
  both of Somerset; Walter and Casimir, both of Boswell, and George,
  Vinco.  Member of All Saints Catholic Parish.  Usher and helped with
  Christmas decorations at St. Stanislaus Church for many years.  Also
  member of the NRA, BVFD, Boswell Post 461, American Legion;
  Meyersdale Chapter 127, D.A.V.; Jenner Rod and Gun Club, Service
  Employees International Union 585, Pennsylvania Association of School
  Retirees, and Polish Falcons of America.  Member of the K. of C.
  Council 8909.  Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.  Operated
  former Dan's Diner, Boswell, for many years.  Retired in 1984 from
  North Star School District.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9
  p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral
  home, Main Street, Boswell, where wake service will be held 3 p.m.
  Wednesday.  K. of C. service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.  Mass of
  Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Stanislaus Church,
  Boswell, Rev. Father Blase Wegierski, O.F.M. Conv. celebrant. 
  Interment, St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
