WALLING, John R.

John R. Walling, 67, Johnstown went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2006, at 
Memorial Medical Center. Born Nov. 9, 1938, in Johnstown son of the late Gus and 
Dorothy (Reese) Walling . Also preceded in death by brother Charles. Survived by 
loving wife of 32 years Teresa "Terry" Gallagher, step-daughter the former 
Gloria (Gleissner), wife of Perry Mock, Windber, and daughter Deborah Walling, 
Davidsville. Also step grand-children Sherry, wife of Jim Dayton, and Brian 
Mock, both of Windber, and step-great-grandchildren Joshua and Andrew Mock, and 
Laikyn Dayton. John was a 40-year employee of Memorial Medical Center where he 
worked as a painter. Prior to his illness he was a member of St. Clement's 
Catholic Church. He was a family man who loved and cherished his family and dog 
Sugar. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at 
Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber, where vigil for the deceased will 
be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at SS. Cyril & 
Methodius' Catholic Church, Windber. The Rev. Father Matthew Misurda, pastor. 
Committal Grandview Cemetery.
