Walls was born May 9, 1926, in Grantsville, Md. He was the son of the late John C. and Jennie Mae (Butler) Walls. He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Clifford, Bernard and David; and two sisters: Evelyn Hollada and Edna Urich. Walls is survived by a brother, Oscar Walls of Grantsville; three sisters: Edith Keck of Akron, Ohio; Julia Durst of Salisbury, and her twin, Pauline McCauley of Elkins, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Walls was a member of the Church of the Brethren. He was a retired steelworker for Babcock & Wilcox, Barberton, Ohio, with 30 years of service. An army veteran of World War II, he was also a member of the American Legion. Friends were received Oct. 1 at the Newman Funeral Home in Grantsville. Services were conducted Oct. 2 at the funeral home, with Rev. Todd Kepley officiating. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
