Walls, Sr., 72, of Titusville RD 4, died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1988, at his residence. He was born Sept. 17, 1915, in Grantsville, Garrett County, Md., the son of the late Jacob and Sara Butler Walls. He was married to Helen G. Patterson July 3, 1936, in Cumberland, Md. He was graduate of Grantsville, Md., High School, class of 1933. He had been employed for 29 years as a machine tool operator at Universal-Cyclops (Cytemp) until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of the Valley View Mennonite Church. He is survived by his wife; two sons: Grant I. Walls, of Titusville RD 4; and W. Roy Walls Jr., of Erie; two daughters: Mrs. Larry (Marie) Koon, of Montgomery RD 1; and Mrs. Robert (Pam) Holcomb, of Titusville RD 4; one sister, Mrs. Victor (Cleda) Holliday, of Grantsville, Md.; 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and a great-granddaughter. Friends were received at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home where services were held Friday at 11 a.m. with Mervin Miller, pastor of the Valley View Mennonite Church, and Arland Miller, retired pastor of the Valley View Mennonite Church, officiating.
