  WALSH
  
  Joan (Brown) Walsh, 61, Beachley St., Meyersdale, died Nov. 8, 1984,
  at Meyersdale Community Hospital.  Born June 13, 1923, in Meyersdale,
  a daughter of Jane (Graves) Brown and Thomas Boone Brown.  She is
  survived by her mother, Jane Graves Brown, at home; a brother, Thomas
  Boone Brown Jr., and a sister, Jean Brown Forster, both of State
  College; three children: Gregory Fortune Walsh, Christopher Boone
  Walsh and Sharman (Walsh) Schutz, all of Houston, Texas; and four
  grandchildren.  A 1941 graduate of Meyersdale High School, she
  attended Hood College, Frederick, Md., and the Toby Cobum Institute,
  New York City.  A member of the Meyersdale Garden Club and the
  Maranatha Church of Grantsville, Md.  Services will be conducted
  Sunday at 3 p.m. by the Revs. Johnson and Bobby Phillips at the
  Maranatha Church, Springs Road, Grantsville, Md.  In lieu of flowers,
  contributions may be made to the Maranatha Church and the Meyersdale
  Community Library.
