Walsh, 65, of Somerset RD 2 died April 16, 1981, at Somerset Community Hospital. He was born May 1, 1915, in Mt. Savage, Md., son of the late James and Cora (May) Walsh. He was also preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. Survived by his widow, the former Dolora Virginia Knopsnyder Gardner; a daughter, Mrs. Roy (Linda) Stewart of Mercer; and these step-children: Robert W. Gardner, Sarasota, FL.; Ronald Gardner, Somerset RD 8; Mrs. Donald (Janet) Pugh, Somerset RD 2; Mrs. Jesse (Karen) Burk, Friedens RD 2; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Was a brother of: Mrs. Leona Graham, Barberton, Ohio; Mrs. Veronica Kight, Cumberland, Md.; James, Akron, Ohio. A member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, F.O.E., Teamsters Union and a former Cooper-Jarrett driver. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m., the Rev. Father Samuel Tomaselli officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Daily American, April 17, 1981 [W0357]
