  Esther "Essie" R. Walter, 93, of Jennerstown, died evening of Oct.
  10, 1980 at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate.  Born April 15, 1887 in
  Bedford County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel Allison.  Preceded
  in death by parents; husband, Charles A. Walter, who died in 1992;
  daughter, Mrs. Violet Lucas, who died in 1977; one sister; and four
  brothers.  Survived by these children: Ruth Mickle, Pittsburgh; Grace
  Ressler, Lakewood, Cal.; R. Alton, Waynesboro, Pa.; 11 grandchildren;
  and several great-grandchildren.  Member of Jennerstown United
  Methodist Church.  Retired employee of Dorfman and Hoffman garment
  factory, Boswell.  Friends were received Sunday and will be received
  until time of service at 1 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227
  Allegheny St., Boswell, the Rev. Donald C. Rudat.  Interment,
  Jennerstown Lutheran Cemetery.
