  WALTER
  
  Oran H. Walter, 85, Somerset RD 1, died Oct. 26, 1974, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born in Somerset County on Aug. 23, 1889, a son
  of Irvin W. and Elizabeth (Hecker) Walter.  Preceded in death by his
  wife, the former Eva A. Lape, Sept. 12, 1974,
  four sisters and one brother.  Survived by two daughters, Avanelle,
  wife of George Dummeyer, and Irene, wife of Ralph Bittner, both of
  Somerset RD 1; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. 
  These brothers and sisters: James E. of Stoystown; Howard W. of
  Cumberland, Md.; Ray B. of Johnstown; Mrs. Mary I. Ross of Johnstown;
  Mrs. Nellie M. Zimmerman of Berlin; Mrs. Dora L. Hostetler of Central
  City; and Mrs. Hazel R. Gruver of Pittsburgh.  Member of Milford
  United Methodist Church, Somerset Lodge F. & A. M. 358, Somerset
  Aerie 1801 Eagles, and UMW of A.  Friends are being received in the
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be conducted
  Tuesday at 1:30 p.m with the Rev. Dewayne Johnson and the Rev. Marlin
  A. Miller officiating.  Interment, St. John's Cemetery.  Memorial
  service will be conducted 8 p.m. Monday (today) in the funeral home
  by Somerset Lodge 358.
