Walters, 88, of Severn, Md., formerly of Berlin, died July 9, 2003 at, Annapolis, (Md.) Hospital. Born July 24, 1914 in Garrett. Preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Mary (Orndorf) Walters; wife, Irene (Carter) Walters; brothers, Robert, Sherman, Harold, and Samuel Walters, and sister, Katherine Walters. Survived by son, Ronald Walters of California, daughters, Sandra Suhrie of Severn, Md., and Donna Baker of Somerset. Also survived by a sister Charlotte Bowlby of Somerset, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel Co. of Baltimore, Md., and worked 55 years as a barber in Berlin until he retired in 1999. He was a drummer in the Berlin Fife and Drum Corps. He enjoyed coin collecting, fishing and hunting. A private service was held Wednesday for immediate family. Family requests memorial donations to Hospice of Somerset.
