Walters, 83, a retired railroad laborer, died Friday evening at his home in Summit Township after an extended illness. He was a son of Benjamin and Sarah (Mosholder) Walters and was born February 13, 1857. Surviving are his widow, a daughter, Miss Nellie Grace Walters, Detroit, Michigan; a son, Harry J. Walters, Garrett; three grandchildren. A daughter, Miss Minnie Walters, died nine years ago. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Garrett Lutheran Church by Rev. Charles Rowe. Interment was in the Garrett Cemetery under the direction of J. N. Johnson & Son, Berlin morticians. Meyersdale Republican, May 30, 1940
