Born Aug. 15, 1918, in Somerset, the daughter of Charles Irvin and Mary Elizabeth (King) Klein. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Palmer G. Walters, who died April 25, 1986; son, Harold "Bill" Walters; brothers, Earl, C. Melvin and Harry Klein; and sisters, Sarah Klein, Helen R. Reedy and Pauline Davis; also son-in-law, Richard Bowlby. Survived by children, Mary Alice Bowlby, Somerset; Mrs. Lynn (Wanita) Hauger, Minneapolis, Minn.; Steven Walters, Somerset; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandson; brother, Walter R. Klein, Somerset; beloved daughters-in-law, Connie Walters, Somerset and Patty Walters, Berlin. A graduate of Somerset High School, she worked as a secretary until her retirement for the Inheritance Tax Division for the State of Pennsylvania. A member of First United Methodist Church, where she had taught Sunday school. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Wess Yoder officiating.
