  LEONARD E. WAMPLER
  
    Leonard E. Wampler, 80, of Star Route, Frostburg, Md., died Monday,
  Oct. 7, 1985 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
    Born May 17, 1905 at Avilton, he was the son of the late Jonus E.
  Wampler and Sara Anna (Lanchaster) Wampler.  His wife, Edna O.
  (Jenkins) Wampler, died in 1978.  He was a retired carpenter.
    He is survived by two brothers, Floyd Wampler, Grantsville, Md.;
  and Raymond Wampler, Swanton, Md.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home where services
  were conducted Thursday, 11 a.m., by the Rev. J. Richard Greene. 
  Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
