WARCHOLA, Anna

Anna Warchola, 92, Central City, died March 11, 2007. Born Dec. 2, 1914, the 
daughter of Frank and Catherine (Petro) Hilshansky. Preceded in death by 
parents; husband, Mike; brothers, George, Mike and Paul; sisters, Mary Filisky, 
Catherine Barone and Helen Johnson. Survived by daughter, Ann, wife of Nick 
Maravich, Pittsburgh; sister in- law, Catherine Hilshansky and numerous nieces 
and nephews. Retired hairdresser from the former Somerset State Hospital as well 
as operating her own shop. Past president of the VFW ladies auxiliary. Ann also 
organized Central City's first Girl Scout Troop and served as the leader. 
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home, 
Central City, where service will be sung at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday followed at 9 
a.m. by Divine Liturgy at St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church, the Very Rev. John 
Govrusik. Committal, parish cemetery. Parastas will be sung 7 p.m. Tuesday at 
the funeral home.
