Ward Sr., 67, of Johnstown died Jan. 18, 2000 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. Born Aug. 16, 1932 in Woodbury, N.J., son of Samuel B. and Mary B. (Banks) Ward. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife, Janet (Mucha) Ward, Johnstown, and son Larry G. Ward Jr. of Kimmelton. A brother of Mary Jane married to Karl Becker of Short Hills, N.J. A Korean Conflict veteran serving with the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 on board the U.S.S. Larsen. A 1951 graduate of Swedesboro High School in Swedesboro, N.J. Formerly employed with E.I. DuPont Co. for 13 years in Repaupo, N.J. and B.F. Goodrich for two years in Pedricktown, N.J. Retired technician for Mobil Research. The owner and operator of the Schellsburg Antique's (1990-1994) in Schellsburg. Member of Mickelton Friends Meeting in Mickelton, N.J. and Bedford American Legion Post 113. Larry Sr. enjoyed horses and horse showing with his son and he was an active member of the YMCA and Water Walkers in Johnstown. Friends received from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon Saturday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Inc., Johnstown. Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery.
