Ware, Kingman, Arizona; John H. Ware, Long Beach, California; Samuel W. Ware, Los Angeles, California; Albert H. Ware, Chicago, Illinois; Charles L. Ware, Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania; Mrs. William H. Deeter, Meyersdale; Mrs. John R. Berkshire, Woodside, and Mrs. Anthony Shumack, Hyndman; also by 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was born March 6, 1839, on the Coughenour homestead, near Glen Savage in Allegheny Township, and is the last one of a large family to cross to the other side. She was a daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Schroyer Coughenour and spent practically her long life near the place of her birth. About a dozen years ago, however, she moved to Hyndman, and resided there until the time of her death. She died of paralysis, after an affliction of 21 days. Her suffering was born with patience. Many were endeared to her through her gentle disposition which manifested itself through her entire life. Friday, February 7, at 2:30 p.m., funeral services were held in the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of which she had been a life-long member. Rev. William G. Slonaker, a former pastor of that congregation, conducted the services. Her body was laid to rest in the church cemetery beside that of her husband, who preceded her in death nearly 17 years. Meyersdale Republican, February 20, 1930
