Warner, 105, who with her husband owned and operated Warner's Grocery Store in Finzel for a number of years, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 1989 at the Goodwill Mennonite Home in Grantsville, Md. She had resided there for the past five years. She was one of the oldest living residents of Garrett County. Born in Pocahontas on May 30, 1884, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Bell (Stoner) Werner. She was a member of the New Hope United Church of Christ on the Plank Road, and the Ladies Aid Society of the church. Her husband, Milton H. Warner, died Oct. 14, 1954, and she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include three daughters, Verna M. Kloss, Mayme M. Griffith, and M. Olive Hartig, all of Frostburg, Md.; one son, William K. Warner, Star Route, Frostburg, Md.; six grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, where services were conducted Friday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. LaMar Bender. Interment Greenville Cemetery at Pocahontas.
