He was born near Grantsville, Md., Oct. 10, 1873. He lived in Pennsylvania until he was 21 years old, then he moved to Brown County, Kansas. On Dec. 31, 1903, he was united in marriage to Zourie L. Saylor; then he located three miles northwest of Whiting, Kansas, where he reared five sons, namely: Uriah Henry, of Geary, Okla.; John Robert, Topeka, Kansas; Paul Franklin, Phillips, Texas; George Eugene, Whiting, Kansas; Carl Saylor, Kalvesta, Kansas. He is survived by his wife and sons and three sisters and one brother, namely, Mrs. Minta Rupe, of Ames, Iowa; Miss Effie Warner, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Charles Peas, Denver, Colo., and John H. Warner, Pittsburgh, Pa. Surviving also are eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 23. Burial in Whiting cemetery. His wife, Zourie L.
