Warnick, 83, of 310 Center St., Boswell, died Sept. 23, 1993 at Lee Hospital. Born Dec. 19, 1909, in Jenners. Son of Mahlon C. and Clara Z. (Holler) Warnick. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Emily. Survived by wife, the former Florence P. Kaufman, and two daughters, Faye Ann Trainer of North Kingston, R.I., and Karen Ruth, wife of Robert Trenner of Woodinville, Wash. Four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell; Boswell American Legion Post 461, Boswell Sewer and Water Authority, Jenner Community Sportsmen, Travelers Protection Association of America, Retired Teachers Association and Disabled American Veterans. Navy veteran of World War II. Graduate of former Boswell High School Class of 1927, which held its 66th-year class reunion this year. Also a graduate of Lock Haven University. Former mayor of Boswell. Retired in 1975 as a schoolteacher with 42 years of service, having taught three generations of children in the Jenner-Boswell area. Avid postcard collector, having received thousands of cards from around the world under the nickname "Skillets - 15531." Also enjoyed painting portraits and scenery on small stones and making homemade wine. Observed 63rd wedding anniversary June 14, 1993. At Homer's request, no visitation or services. Interment, Jenner Cross Roads Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorials to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell, would be appreciated. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Homes, Boswell.
