All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ OLIN WARNICK Tragic Death of Olin Warnick Grantsville, Md., Feb. 5, Olin Warnick, a resident of Jennings, aged 41 years, and employed on the sawmill of the Laurel Run Lumber Co., located on the Earl Stanton farm near Casselman, Md., met death in a very tragic manner about 1:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, when his clothing was caught in the line shaft, tearing his right arm off, fracturing his skull and mutilating his body beyond recognition. Dr. N. R. Davis was immediately summoned, but Mr. Warnick was dead before he arrived. The unfortunate man was a son of the late Jesse Warnick whose death occurred Nov. 16, 1929. His mother, Mrs. Anna Mary Warnick, survives, also his wife and the following children: Miss Freda Warnick, who just started as clerk at the Broadwater Bros' Store on Feb. 1; twin sons, Marvin and Homer, and a third son, Nevin; also by one sister, Mrs. Irvin Custer, of Swanton, Md., and one brother, Alonza Warnick, of Deer Park, Md. The funeral was on Wednesday at the New Germany Methodist Church. Meyersdale Republican, February 6, 1930
