WARRICK, Sarah L.

Sarah L. Warrick, 79, Confluence, went to be with her Lord, March 16, 2007, at 
Windber Palliative Care Unit, Windber Hospice. Born June 8, 1927, in Lower 
Turkeyfoot Township, a daughter of Maurice (M.Z.) and Velma (Hyatt) Nickelson. 
Preceded in death by parents; husband, Melvin T. Warrick; infant twin 
granddaughters, Lucinda and Lucretia Warrick; brother, Maurice Eugene Nickelson; 
son-in-law, James R. Sarver; and brother-in-law, John Thomas. Survived by a 
daughter, Joann King Sarver, Friedens; sons, William and wife, Cathy, Somerset; 
and Donald, and wife, Jeannette, Rockwood; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-
grandchildren; brother, George Nickelson, Masury, Ohio and friend, Gay Bailey, 
Addison; and sister, Faye Thomas, Farmington, Michigan. She graduated from 
Confluence High School in 1945. She was a member of the Fair Oaks Church of God, 
attended Somerset Alliance Church and belonged to the Church W/D/S Group. She 
served on the Somerset County Election Board for more than 30 years. Friends 
will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home, 
Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Dennis 
Dawson officiating. Interment in Jersey Cemetery.
