(Cosgrove) Mary A. (Cosgrove) Warshel, 93, formerly of Windber, passed away Jan. 27, 2007, at Windber Medical Center. Born Jan. 21, 1914, in Thomas Mills, daughter of John C. and Ellen (Gillispie) Cosgrove. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Charles J. Warshel; brothers, John, Harry, James and Thomas; sisters, Bridget Thomas, Margaret Ott, Evelyn Geus and Ann Thomas. Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by daughter, Janet, wife of Stephen Otvos, Hollsopple; and Cathy, wife of the late Clifford Meyers, Soap Hollow, and with whom Mary resided with for the past two years; grandchildren, Jennifer, wife of Patrick Kennedy; and Christie Otvos. Also step grandchildren, Deborah and friend Greg; David, Douglas, and Dennis; great-grandchildren, Paul and Casey; step great-great-grandchildren, Halee, Sara, Alyssa, and Alex. Mary was a licensed beautician and was a retired employee of the Church of the Brethren Home, Windber, where she worked as a nurses aide. Past member of the former Holy Child Jesus Catholic Church, Windber. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Graham Avenue and 11th Street, Windber, and where vigil for the deceased will be held.
