Wasson, 90, of 740 Somerset Ave., Rockwood, formerly of Johnstown, died Nov. 8, 1986, at his residence. Born Feb. 21, 1896, at Lemont, Centre County, son of the late Alfred M. and Sarah (Pearce) Wasson. Also preceded in death by his wife, Sadie, in 1983; a stepbrother, stepsister and two half-brothers. Survived by half-brothers Dwight of Bellwood and the Rev. Robert of Oregon. An alumnus of UPJ. Retired as division engineer from Pennsylvania Electric Co. in 1961. Member and past master of Somerset Lodge No. 358 F&AM; member of Portage Royal Arch Chapter No. 193; life member of P.T.I.M., Cambria Council No. 89; life member and past eminent commander Oriental Commandry No. 61 Knights Templar; member of National Sojourners Inc.; member of A.A.S.R. Valley of Altoona; Jaffa Temple A.A.O.N.M.S.; life member and past commander of Jaffa Temple Legion of Honor; member of A.A.R.P.; 50-year member of the American Legion Post 294, Johnstown; member of Johnstown and Somerset Shrine clubs; past director of Johnstown Lions Club; life member and former secretary of Line Officers and Past Commanders Association, Division 6 of Knights Templar of Pennsylvania; member of the Council of Anointed Kings; member of the Correspondence Circle Ltd. Quatuor Coronati Lodge No. 2076, London, England; former member and deacon of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Johnstown; Johnstown Oldtimers Baseball Association; Community Concert Association; Johnstown Flood Museum. He was a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army during World War I. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Wednesday 2 p.m., the Rev. Donald Krestar and the Rev. Rex Wasser officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
