  James Richard Watkins, 63, South Center Avenue, Somerset, died Sept.
  14, 1999, at his residence.  Born Feb. 19, 1936, in Somerset, a son
  of the late James Francis and Janie Mae (Barnett) Watkins.  Survived
  by his wife, the former Bonnie L. Nichol, to whom he was married for
  43 years, and these daughters: Mrs. Randy J. (Luann) Penrod of
  Jenners and Mrs. Donald P. (Rhonda) Stairs, Mrs. Gerald E. (Sharon)
  Murray, and Mrs. Sheldon R. (Kandi) Barron, all of Somerset; six
  grandchildren, Rana and Jonathan Penrod, Adam and Stacy Stairs,
  Brenna and Havenn Murray.  Brother of Mrs. Clarence (Rachel M.) Roddy
  of Somerset.  Member of Grace United Methodist Church, 1954 graduate
  of Somerset High School, 1962 graduate of RCA Technical Institute. 
  Owner of Watkins TV since 1971.  He was an avid golfer and bowler. 
  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday,
  with the Rev. Charles F. Olson officiating.  Interment, Somerset
  County Memorial Park.  Contributions may be made to American Cancer
  Society, 168 W. Union St.; Somerset, Pa., 15501.
