Born Dec. 30, 1924, in Masontown, Pa., a son of the late Samuel and Della (Hare) Watson. Preceded in death by a sister, Marie (Watson) Koval, of Sun City, Fla. Survived by his widow, Wilma (Murray) Watson; 2 sisters: Gladys Ore, Austin, Texas, and Doris McKenzie, Avon, Ohio; 5 nieces and nephews: Clarence, Beverly, Bonnie, Edward and Colleen. There are other nieces and nephews. Mr. Watson was a veteran of World War II. Member of Greenville Lutheran Church and Salisbury VFW Post 8826. He was a well-known salvage and used-car dealer. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Leckemby Funeral Home. They funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Greenville Lutheran Church, with Pastor David Fetter officiating. Interment, Greenville Cemetery. Daily American, August 26, 1999 [W0528]
