  Lewis C. Weaver, 82, Somerset, died May 22, 2005, at his residence. Born March
  19, 1923, in Stonycreek Township, he is the son of the late Robert and Edith
  (Martin) Weaver. Also preceded in death by first wife, Betty (Trent) and an
  infant son, Dale. Survived by his wife, Helen (Flick) Weaver; son, Luther,
  married to the former Tacy Scheller, Somerset; daughter, Beatrice, married to
  Greg Showman, Melbourn, Fla.; six grandchildren, Mrs. Amos (Niki) Shaffer,
  Zachery and Kyle Weaver and Ryan, Abigail and Adrienne Showman. Brother of
  Ernest Weaver and wife, Margaret, Sebastian, Fla., Vernor Weaver and wife,
  Judy, Duncansville, and Sheldon Weaver and wife Nancy, Brush Valley, Mrs.
  Howard (Mildred) Christner, Pittsburgh, Mrs. Richard (Esther) Bailey, Buford,
  Ga., and Nancy Groman, Somerset. Employed by General Telephone, retiring after
  35 years of service. Member of Faith Lutheran Church and Somerset Lodge 358
  F&AM. Veteran of World War II and former member of Berlin Lions Club. Friends
  received 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert
  H. Halverson Funeral Home, where a service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
  The Rev. Kenneth Diable officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial
  Park. Contributions may be made to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice, 1590 N. Center
  Ave., Somerset, PA 15501. Masonic service will be held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the
  funeral home.
