WECHTENHISER, Mildred Mae

Mildred Mae Wechtenhiser, 89, Berlin, died Jan. 11, 2008, at Somerset Hospital. 
Born Jan. 14, 1918, in Meyersdale, a daughter of James Cleveland and Amanda Jane 
(Lenhart) Stahl. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Howard Lewis 
Wechtenhiser, who died Sept. 13, 1976; brother, James Stahl; and sisters, Rose 
Larry, Dorothy Mitchell and Anna Sarver- Martin. Survived by daughter, Betty Lou 
Wechtenhiser, Berlin; half sisters and brother, Mae Louise Mack, Medina, Ohio; 
Mrs. Earl "Butch" (Betty Jean) Wahl Jr., Somerset; Mrs. Dean (Virginia) Lyons, 
Somerset; Peter Stahl, married to the former Betty Jane Johnson, Salisbury; 
caregivers, Sue Simmons and Valerie Burk; and her dog, Maggie. Member of Listie 
Grace Brethren Church. She also enjoyed quilting, rug braiding, sewing and 
gardening. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-
Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 3 
p.m. The Rev. Ronzil L. Jarvis officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial
