Born March 23, 1898 in Lincoln Township, daughter of the late George Ruban and Laura Bell (Ankney) Horner. Preceded in death by husband, Claude in 1982; two infant sons and two infant sisters. Survived by two daughters, Blanche Arlene, married to William Corbett, Somerset and Loretta Mae, married to Clifford Saylor, Confluence, six grandchildren: Barbara Lynn Corbett, married to Thomas Sowards, Hardy, Va.; William Robert Corbett, Fairhope; Kevin Eugene Saylor, married to Brenda Miller, Greenbelt, Md.; Evon Sue Saylor, married to James Faidley, Markleton; Eric Lynn Saylor, Greenbelt, Md.; Alan Rae Saylor, Confluence; five great-grandchildren: Terra Leigh Sowards; Joshua Joel and Christopher Kaleb Faidley; Heather Rose and Amy Noel Saylor. A brother, Clyde M. Horner, Somerset RD 2. Member of First United Methodist Church, Somerset, where she was a member of the Queen Esther Sunday School Class. 4-H leader for 25 years. President of Samuels Corners Homemakers Club for many years. Friends will be received from 2-9 p.m. Monday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. Rev. Arthur Gotjen officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
