Weighley Sr., 80, Berlin, died on Jan. 21, 2006, at Windber Hospice. Born April 26, 1925, in Somerset Township, to Ralph B. and Bertha (Shaffer) Weighley. Preceded in death by parents; son, Jamie; sister, Martha Hyde and brothers Ira and Fred. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anna Mae (Johnson); children, Dan Jr. and wife, Nancy, Berlin; Don and wife, Hazel, Somerset; D. Jack and wife, Roxanne, Meyersdale; Sheryl Walker and husband, Robert, Meyersdale, Patti Chadwick and husband, Robert, Phoenix, Ariz.; David and wife, Joni, Berlin and Tim and wife, Jody, Berlin. He is also survived by 11 grand-children; two step grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two sisters, Alma (Dolly) Ort, York Haven, and Hazel Griffith, Everett. Daniel was an Army veteran of World War II and Korea. He was an OTR truck driver for 23 years and had retired from Briggs Plumbingware after 17 years as a bowl packer. He was a member of the Berlin Trinity U.C.C. where he served as a deacon and an elder. He was also a member and past president of the American Legion Post 445 in Berlin and a member of the Berlin Area Historical Society. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. James Hughes officiating.
