Weighley, 83, of Friedens passed on Dec. 19, 2003, at Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 2, 1920 in Friedens, the son of the late William and Sadie (Darr) Weighley. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Baer, Anna Glessner, Pearl Ogline and, Mildred Dively. He was the last member of his family. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary (Moore) Weighley; his son William Weighley and fiance Judith Ferrara, both of Carmichaels and grandsons Bradley and Douglas Weighley, both of Waynesburg. Milton was a caring and loving husband father, and grandfather. He graduate in 1937 from Somerset Township High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. A member of the Geiger Church of the Brethren, he served as a deacon, chairman of the church board, and on the building committee. He was retired from Bethlehem Steel Co., with 41 years of service. Milton enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, and was a member of the Eagles for 50 years. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home Somerset. A service will be held at 11, a.m. Tuesday at the Geiger Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Gerald Deffenbaugh officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.
