Weigle, 91, Friedens, went to be with his Lord and Savior and wife, Leona; daughter, Wanda; and brothers, Nevin, Lester, Cloyd, Eugene; and sisters, Cleo, Stella, Nelli and Lillian on Oct. 31, 2005, at his residence. Born March 10, 1914, in Stonycreek Township, he is the son of the late Albert and Lydia (Spangler) Weigle. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Elwood (Evelyn) Friedline, Somerset; granddaughters, Mrs. Russ (Vicki) Stern, Somerset; Mrs. Dan (Kathy) Slifco, Friedens; Mrs. John (Marcia) Whipkey, Boswell; Mrs. Dave (Lexi) Bowersox, Friedens; great-grandchildren, Philip Stern, Smithfield, N.C.; Tara and Nick McKenzie, Somerset; Gerrad Friedline, Iraq; Ben and Kim Whipkey, Fairhope, Jacob Whipkey, Iraq; Ann Marie Whipkey, Boswell, Timothy Bowersox, Friedens, Becky Bowersox, Missouri and Katie Bowersox, Friedens and a great-great-grandson Tyler Whipkey, Fairhope. Brother of Ray S. Weigle, Listie; and sister, Mrs. Harry (Laverne) Bowman, Fall City, Neb.; and caregivers, Mary and Betty Geary. Member of Listie Grace Brethren Church where he was a trustee and teacher. Also member of United Mine Workers District 2 Local 1742 and Labors International Union of North America Local 419. Employed by Latrobe Construction. He was director of Laurel Ridge Sportsman. Friends received 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the time of service Friday in the Listie Grace Brethren Church. The Rev. Ronzil L. Jarvis, the Rev. Larry Weigle and the Rev. Sherman Berkey officiating. Interment in Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
