John J. Weigle, 84, Somerset, formerly of Garrett, died Oct. 5, 2007, at 
Somerset Hospital. Born Oct. 2, 1923, in Pittsburgh. A son of the late William 
and Ruth (Murray) Weigle. Survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty J. (Haer) 
Weigle; and three children, Bill Weigle, and his wife, Dianne, Johnstown; Janet 
Critchfield, Vineland, N.J.; and Greg Weigle, and his wife, Laurie, Cleveland, 
Ohio; three grandchildren, Stephen, Amanda, and Ashly; and four great-
grandchildren. A member of Mount Tabor Lutheran Church, Garrett. A graduate of 
Berlin Brothersvalley High School class of 1941. A 32nd Degree member of the 
Masonic Lodge Meyersdale. Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps World War II. John 
was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate and Steeler fan. Friends will be received 2 to 8 
p.m. Sunday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where a service will be 
conducted 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Glenn Foster and the Rev. Ralph Landis 
officiating. Interment will follow at Center Church Cemetery, Garrett. 
Arrangements by the William Rowe Price Funeral Home Inc., Meyersdale.

   John J. Weigle, 84 of Somerset, formerly of Garrett, died October 5, 2007 at 
Somerset Hospital.
   He was born October 2, 1923 in Pittsburgh, son of the late William and Ruth 
(Murray) Weigle.
   He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty J. (Haer) Weigle, and three 
children: Bill Weigle, and his wife Dianne, Johnstown; Janet Critchfield, 
Vineland, NJ; and Greg Weigle, and his wife Laurie, Cleveland, OH. Also survived 
by three grandchildren: Stephen, Amanda, and Ashly; and four great 
grandchildren.
   He was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church Garrett, a graduate of Berlin 
Brothers Valley High School Class of 1941, a 32nd Degree member of the Masonic 
Lodge Meyersdale, and a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps WWII. John was an 
avid Pittsburgh Pirate and Steeler fan.
   Friends were received Sunday at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale, where 
services were conducted Monday, with the Rev. Glenn Foster and the Rev. Ralph
