"Bill" Weigle, 74 of Wilbur, died June 26, 2002 at his residence. Born Sept. 3, 1927 in Pine Hill, he was the son of Frank and Marie (Dommer) Weigle and Amelia Weigle. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert and sister, Doris. He is survived by his wife of 49 1/2 years, Norma (Fratus) Weigle; children: William A. married to the former Jody Pfizer, Somerset; Kathleen, Lexington, Ky., Nancy married to Lawrence LaFlower, Valpariso, Ind., Donald, married to the former Brenda Miller, Hermitage, Beverly married to Paul Certeza, Lawton Okla.; Mary at home; John married to the former Tammy Berkebile Friedens; Sandra married to Timothy Younkin, Lawton, Okla.; grandchildren Larry, Hope, Jason, Paul (L.P.), NcCole, Tonya, Robert, Trista, Justin, Jeremy; a great-grandson Warren; brother Robert, Somerset; sisters, Joyce Shaffer, Somerset, and Constance Harvey, Central City; and a close friend, Bill Tirko, Hooversville. He was a retired engineer technician for the U.S. Postal Service; Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, graduate of Shanksville High School, class of 1946, and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. He was a volunteer for AARP and a member of the U.S. Postal Union. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Dean Pizcr officiating. Interment, with military honors in Wills Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, Somerset Unit, 168 W.
