Weimer section foreman on the Berlin Branch of the Baltimore & Ohio R. R. died [sic]n the Western Maryland Hospital early Tuesday morning where he had been taken Sunday afternoon suffering with gall stones and ulcers of the intestines. He became sick Saturday evening just after he had returned from work. He suffered terribly from pain Saturday night and Sunday and on Sunday afternoon his physician took him to the hospital at Cumberland. The operation showed that the ulcers had perforated his intestines and that there was no chance for his recovery. Mr. Weimer had been a resident of Garrett for the last fifteen years all of which time he spent in the employ of the Baltimore & Ohio R. R. Before coming to Garrett he lived at Rockwood at which place he was born and raised. He was a member of the Lutheran Church at this place. He was aged 47 years and is survived by his widow and two children Harry aged 17 and Edna aged 8 and one brother William of Pittsburg. Meyersdale Commercial, June 22, 1916
