He was born in Berlin, the eldest son of John and Mary (Hirsch) Weimer. He was a member of the Berlin Reformed Church and was a veteran of the Spanish American War. His wife preceded him in death. Surviving are the following children: Guy Weimer, Travers City; Ralph Weimer, Meyersdale; Mrs. Lester Larson, Steubenville, O.; Leroy Weimer, Rockwood; James and Dolly Weimer at home; Mrs. Paul Hetzer, Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Ralph Jewitt, Georgetown; Mrs. John Makay, Windber; also the following brother and sisters; Edward Weimer, Berlin; Mrs. Warren Fogle, Berlin; Mrs. Irvin Schrock, New York, N.Y. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Johnson and Son Funeral home, the Rev. Ira R. Harkins officiating. Interment in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Berlin.
