"Ted" Weimer, 84, of New Kensington died Saturday, May 11, 2002 in Autumn Grove Care Center, Harrisville. He was born Dec. 3, 1917 in Casselman, and has lived in the New Kensington area for 54 years. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harrison Reid and Edna Tedrow Weimer. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Clarice Lawrence Weimer; a son, Scott L. Weimer of New Kensingtown; daughter, Mrs. Wendy (Tom) Nadolny of West Sunbury; brother Harrison Reid Weimer Jr. of Monroeville; two sisters, Ardythe Weimer of Oakmont, and Mrs. Muriel (Robert) Ellstorm of O'Hara Township; two grandchildren, Mandy (James) Pierce of Upperville Va., Joshua Nadolny of Strasburg, Va., and one great-granddaughter, Rachel Pierce. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in New Kensington. He was an accountant for Alcoa in Pittsburgh for 40 years before retiring in 1980. He was a graduate of Somerset High School in 1936 and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Penn State in 1940. Family received friends Tuesday in the Churchfield-Peters Funeral Home, 501 Fifth Ave., New Kensington, where service will the held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with his Pastor, the Rev. L. Kenneth Hooten officiating. Private burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Daily American, May 15, 2002 [W0721]
